NO SCHOOL - Elementary Reorganization Day - Friday, Sept. 22

Hi Stanley Mills' Parents!

A friendly reminder that next Friday is reorganization day for elementary school students. The school will be closed, and classes resume on Monday, September 25th.

Please ensure you have made alternate arrangements for that day. 

What is Reorganization Day?
School boards undergo a reorganization in mid-September so that class sizes meet requirements set by the Ministry of Education. Each school begins with a certain number of classes and teachers—these numbers are determined in the Spring based on estimated and current registrations for the following school year. After the first week of school, the Peel District School Board checks to see whether class enrolment reflects these predictions. Then, adjustments are made to classes to align with the Ministry of Education's requirements.*

To ease the transition during this reorganization process, school staff will work to minimize the impact that any class changes have on students; their health, safety, and well-being as the primary focus. Impacted families will receive letters and phone calls to advise of any classroom changes related to their child(ren).
