As parents, we all want our children to be successful and reach their full potential. One of the key ways to achieve this is by promoting reading and literacy from a young age. At our recent Tea and Talk session, one parent asked for some names of companies we are using to buy books to support the new Right to Read initiative. We thought it would be helpful to share this information with all parents, so here are some of the companies our educators recommend:
- Flyleaf Publishing
specializes in creating high-quality children's books that are engaging, educational, and fun. They offer a wide range of books for children of all ages, from picture books for young readers to chapter books for older children. Their books cover a variety of topics, from science and nature to history and culture. - Dandelion Launchers
creates phonics-based reading books for children. Their books are designed to help children develop their phonics skills, which are essential for reading. They offer a range of books for different reading levels, so children can progress at their own pace. - Half-Pint Kids
specializes in creating books for young children. Their books are designed to be interactive and engaging, with colorful illustrations and fun stories. They offer a range of books on different topics, from animals and nature to social and emotional development. - SyllaSense
offers a unique approach to teaching reading. They use a system called Syllabics, which breaks down words into syllables to help children learn to read. Their books are designed to be easy to read and understand, making them ideal for children who are struggling with reading. - Scholastic Phonics
a well-known name in the world of children's books. They offer a range of phonics-based reading books, designed to help children develop their reading skills. Their books cover a range of topics and are suitable for children of all ages.
If you have any questions about this initiative or how to support your child(ren) at home, please feel free to reach out to their teacher(s).
