2023 Student Census

The Peel District School Board (PDSB) has sent out an email to families with students in kindergarten to Grade 3 to complete the 2023 Student Census - Count Me In Peel.

Parents/Caregivers are strongly encouraged to complete this survey with their child(ren) before May 5th. One survey link per child will be received. 

The findings will continue to assist PDSB to:

▪︎ better understand student populations and school communities;

▪︎ identify and eliminate barriers to student success, inclusion and well-being;

▪︎ eliminate systemic racism and discrimination; and

▪︎ establish effective programs.

Students in grades 4 and 5 will complete this survey during class.

The census is confidential but not anonymous. Only PDSB’s Research and Accountability unit will have access to the data. They will report on group level data only, ensuring information about individual students or groups with small population sizes will not be seen by anyone. 

Participation in the Student Census is voluntary. However, it’s important to note that the higher the completion rate, the richer and more reliable the information will be for school improvement and program planning.
