SPEAK UP!

To address the online threats that were made to some schools the last week prior to the March Break, the PDSB rolled out SPEAK UP! It is an online reporting tool is available on the peelschools.org website (under Supports & Resources and on the homepage Quick Links), all secondary school websites (under Students and on the homepage Quick Links), the BYOD page, and via QR codes found on posters displayed in schools.

The SPEAK UP! reporting tool is a proactive step to help stop trouble before it starts. This tool is used to report unsafe student behaviours such as: bullying, drugs, vandalism, harassment, violence (including possession of weapons, knowledge of fight clubs, sexual violence, robbery, or any other inappropriate behaviour).  This vital tool is one of many that educators and families can use to help teach students how to be part of the solution, as well as the importance of behaving in ways that promote positive relationships.

This reporting tool is for NON-EMERGENCY reporting and is NOT monitored 24 hours a day. In the event of an EMERGENCY, please contact 9-1-1. If a student needs immediate counselling, please contact Kids Help Phone (1-800-668-6868) or 1-855-310-COPE at any time.
